Postpartum Payout Schedule

This page explains Boober's updated Postpartum payout structure for providers. Below, you’ll find a summary of key changes, example calculations, and payout details.

Policy Changes Summary (as of date)

  • Payout Schedule: First payout remains the same, but the 2nd payout will be broken into weekly payouts, processed by Boober on Sunday night at 11:59pm ET.
  • Payout Calculations: weekly payouts will be based on the amount of hours you have logged in your shift tracker.
  • Shift Tracker: is accessible via the Provider Mobile app and enables you to receive payouts for the services rendered. Your client can see the hours logged, if requested. 

Example Agreement

We’ll use this example agreement to illustrate the payout schedule:

  • Contract Value: $5,200
  • Hours purchased: 80 hours of care.
  • Hourly Rate: $65/hour.
  • Boober’s Fee: 25% of the total contract value, or $1,300.
    • This fee is an example. Replace with your own fee.
  • Provider’s Total Payout after all services rendered: $5,200 - $1,300 = $3,900.

1st Payout (Upon Booking)

After the customer pays for the booking, the provider receives half of the contract value minus Boober’s 25% fee (see the example agreement above).

  • Half of Contract Value: $5,200 x 50% = $2,600.
  • Boober’s Fee: $1,300 (total fee deducted from first payment).
  • First Payout: $2,600 - $1,300 = $1,300.

Weekly Payouts (After Services Rendered)

Weekly payouts are processed Monday mornings EST.

At this point, you have received 50% of the contract value, and the remaining balance of $2,600 is yet to be paid out. Because half of the contract value remains, each hour you complete and log in the Shift Tracker will be calculated at half of the hourly rate for this job. This adjustment is necessary since the initial payout has already covered the other half of the contract. Here’s how it works for the example agreement:

  • Week 1:
    • Hours Worked: 30 hours (three 10-hour shifts).
    • Hourly Rate for Weekly Payouts: $32.50/hour (half of the $65/hour).
    • Week 1 Payout: 30 hours x $32.50 = $975.

  • Week 2:
    • Hours Worked: 40 hours (five 8-hour shifts).
    • Week 2 Payout: 40 hours x $32.50 = $1,300.

  • Week 3:
    • Hours Worked: 10 hours (one 10-hour shift).
    • Week 3 Payout: 10 hours x $32.50 = $325.

  • Total Weekly Payouts:
    • $975+$1300+325 = $2600

Payout Summary

Using the example agreement, here’s a full breakdown of your total payout once the job is complete:

  • 1st Payout (upon booking): $1,300.
  • Week 1 Payout: $975.
  • Week 2 Payout: $1,300.
  • Week 3 Payout: $325.
  • Total Paid Out to Provider: $1,300 + $975 + $1,300 + $325 = $3,900.

Recording Hours

To receive accurate payouts, providers can log and plan hours using the Shift Tracker in Boober’s mobile app. The system will automatically calculate your weekly payouts based on your hourly rate for this job Monday morning EST.
