Postpartum Doula Payout Schedule: May 6, 2025
This page explains Boober's updated Postpartum payout structure for providers. Below, you’ll find a summary of key changes, example calculations, and payout details. Policy Changes Summary (as of May 6th, 2025)
- There is no longer an initial payment before services are rendered.
- You’ll be paid weekly as you log hours in the Shift Tracker (due Sundays by 11:59pm ET).
- Example: If you charge $50/hr and the platform fee is 20%, you’ll receive $40/hr. (this is just a sample. use your rate and fee to determine your number).
- Hours aren’t verified by Boober, but your client can view them.
- Payouts are released Monday morning and will arrive in your account according to Stripe and times listed by your bank. (usually in 1-3 business days).
- If you charge for your postpartum prenatal meeting(s), log those hours — you’ll be paid for them, too.
Note: If your client cancels the contract after the baby is born, payouts will still be released for the hours they have booked, as long as they are still owed to you, according to your contract terms. In these rare cases where you don’t render services, but are still owed the hours, email providers@getboober.com and request payout for the unrendered hours, referencing the terms outlined in your contract.
Reminder: After receiving your signed postpartum contract, Boober will send the payment request to the client — do not ever accept payment directly for current or additional hours (this violates our terms).
