OUR STORY

praise for boober

“No one warned me my breasts would quadruple in size, turn into painful rocks and send me into a total meltdown days after giving birth. Thank god Nev remembered someone reaching out to offer help in this arena which, weeks ago, we brushed off… now I know we were very naive. I couldn’t be more grateful to Jada Shapiro for coming over and teaching us how to deal these first few days and putting us on a path to success. I want to encourage new moms to get help BEFORE they need it.”

“Knowing that someone who’s new to me cares about my infant’s best health and our breastfeeding relationship and continuation is really amazing and comforting. Having this opportunity is extraordinary. It feels energizing that I can reach out and connect directly and quickly with support. Mamas do need so much support in the first two years. The help here is genuine, thoughtful, and delivered with care.”

– Doreen

“Thank you Jada for creating this unique and much needed program to quickly match new moms to breastfeeding help! Boober has allowed us to get our patients the lactation support they need quickly and conveniently. We look forward to working with you and the network of lactation consultants for a very long time!”

The help here is genuine, thoughtful, and delivered with care. It’s so wonderful to receive feedback, responses, and loving questions about myself and my babe.  It can be tough to talk to my girlfriends, moms or not, and aunts about breastfeeding and to ask questions about personal history, timing, amount, and nutrition, so I truly appreciate and would rely on a service like this when the going is hard.”

Visits with a Lactation Counselor (Certified Lactation Counselor [CLC], Certified Breastfeeding Counselor [CBC], or other) typically range between $225 and $285. These breastfeeding professionals are trained and fully vetted to help you with very early breastfeeding issues such as getting a better latch, reducing pain, suggesting and practicing different nursing positions, and ensuring a good milk supply.

If your baby is not gaining properly, is losing weight, may have a tongue tie, or you simply want to hire a breastfeeding professional with the highest level of certification, we will connect you with an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant), which is commonly recognized as the highest level of Lactation Support training. IBCLC visits typically start at $350. Please note: IBCLCs are not always available for same-day visits.
