What you'll learn:
- Newborn procedures & your choices: What typically happens in the first hours after birth, which procedures are routine vs optional, and how to request time, delay, or alternatives when all is well.
- The Golden Hour & early bonding: Why uninterrupted skin-to-skin matters, how it supports regulation and lactation initiation, and what to do if you or your baby are separated during this time.
- What’s happening in your body: Lochia and normal postpartum bleeding, what your midwife or doctor is checking for, and warning signs that need attention.
- What to expect from your baby: The “big sleep” after birth, normal newborn behavior in the first 24 hours, and how to support feeding and rest during this transition.

Cancellation & Reschedule Policy
- Cancellation requests received more than 30 days prior to the scheduled class will incur a cancellation fee equal to 3% of the total class price.
- Cancellation requests received between 15 and 30 days before the scheduled class will incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the total class price.
- Cancellation requests received less than 15 days before the scheduled class or in the case of a no-show will result in a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the total class price.
Reschedule:
- Rescheduling requests received more than 30 days prior to the scheduled class are allowed without any additional charges, subject to availability.
- Rescheduling requests received between 15 and 30 days prior to the scheduled class will incur a rescheduling fee of $35, subject to availability.
- Rescheduling requests received 14 days or less before the scheduled class will incur a rescheduling fee of $35 plus the cost of the class if the seat you vacate is not filled, subject to availability.
