When you submitted your request, you shared the basics —where you are, what type of care you need, when you need support, and a rough budget. That’s a great starting point!
But in most cases, there are dozens—sometimes even hundreds—of doulas in your area who could be a match. Our goal isn’t just to find any doula who fits your criteria; it’s to narrow that group down to the three best available doulas for you to interview.
The Doula Match Questionnaire helps us do that by learning:
- Your birth or postpartum preferences —so we match you with someone whose approach aligns with yours.
- What kind of personality you connect with —whether you want someone highly educational, nurturing, or a mix of both.
- Your schedule and availability —so we only match you with doulas who can actually support you.
We don’t just send profiles—we set up interviews with doulas we believe are a great fit. The more we understand your needs, the better we can tailor your matches.

Yes! You don’t have to attend the workshop to get matched, but you do need to complete the Doula Match Questionnaire. This is how we understand your needs and find the right doulas for you.
The workshop is just
an extra layer of support
—it helps you fill out the form with expert guidance, ask questions in real time, and feel confident in your decisions. But if you prefer, you can
fill out the questionnaire on your own
and we’ll start the process right away.
After you complete the Doula Match Questionnaire, most of the time we will find matching providers within 1 to 3 business days.
From there, the interview process depends on scheduling availability —both yours and the doulas'. Some interviews happen quickly, while others take a few extra days to coordinate.
If you’re in a rush—because your support fell through or you need a doula last-minute—the fastest way to get matched is to
fill out the questionnaire on your own.
